Basketball Recap: Nipomo Comes Up Short

Nipomo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 55-45 to the Reedley Pirates.

Despite the loss, Nipomo still got an impressive performance from Elijah Quesada-Ridge, who posted eight points. Thanks to that strong game, Quesada-Ridge now owns an excellent 50% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Vinn, who had six points.

Nipomo's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Reedley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Nipomo and Lompoc will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reedley, they will head out to take on Mt. Whitney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
