Volleyball Recap: Marina Comes Up Short

Marina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the Palma Chieftains, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Mariners haven't been shut out since back in March.

Marina was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-22, 25-14.

Marina's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Palma, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Marina does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palma, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Soledad at 6:00 p.m.
