Football Game Preview: Britton-Hecla Braves vs. Waubay/Summit Mustangs

The Britton-Hecla Braves will head out on the road to take on the Waubay/Summit Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Britton-Hecla's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.

Britton-Hecla barely beat Great Plains Lutheran the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Braves breezed past the Panthers to the tune of 46-0 on Friday. The Braves haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waubay/Summit). They came out on top against Wilmot by a score of 26-18 on Friday.

Waubay/Summit's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Britton-Hecla, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Britton-Hecla against Waubay/Summit when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 49-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
