Basketball Game Preview: Oak Park-River Forest Huskies vs. Hinsdale Central Red Devils

Oak Park-River Forest hasn't had much luck against Hinsdale Central recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Oak Park-River Forest Huskies are taking a road trip to take on the Hinsdale Central Red Devils at 7:00 p.m.

Oak Park-River Forest is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Lyons and fell 64-33. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 495th, while the Lions are ranked third).

Meanwhile, Hinsdale Central came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 38-28 victory over the Dukes.

Hinsdale Central is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Oak Park-River Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Oak Park-River Forest was dealt a bruising 81-25 defeat at the hands of Hinsdale Central in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Oak Park-River Forest avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
