Preview: Centerville Bulldogs vs. Tri Titans

Centerville is 1-7 against Tri since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Centerville Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Tri Titans at 7:30 p.m. Centerville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 388th, while Tri is ranked 100th).

Centerville suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 45-22 walloping at the hands of Winchester Community. Centerville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Tri came tearing into Tuesday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past New Castle with a 65-59 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Tri got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nakaya Cridge out in front who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and six blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cridge has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jillian Chew, who scored 19 points along with three steals.

Centerville bumped their record down to 3-16 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Tri, their victory bumped their record up to 19-2.

Centerville was dealt a bruising 69-23 defeat at the hands of Tri in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Centerville, Bailey Parham (who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
