There's no place like home for Providence, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Columbus East Olympians on Tuesday. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Olympians recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Providence's got stronger as the match went on, holding Columbus East to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15, 25-7.

Hadley Hasselbring paced Providence's offense, picking up nine kills. Hasselbring got some help from Rylie Neal and her 25 assists. Neal was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Providence now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Columbus East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Providence and Male will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on October 1. As for Columbus East, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Floyd Central on the 25th.
