Football Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

After soaring to 34 points the game before, Marshall was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were outmatched by the Markesan Hornets and fell 36-7. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Markesan, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Marshall will be playing in front of their home fans against Deerfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will be up against the Demons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Markesan, they will head out to square off against Fall River/Rio at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
