Basketball Recap: Maxwell Greenberg's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fort Lee over Lodi

Fort Lee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lodi Rams. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bridgemen have suffered since December 27, 2024.

Several Bridgemen players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maxwell Greenberg, who posted nine points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Greenberg a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Guy Vickers, who put up 11 points and eight boards.

Even though they lost, Fort Lee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Fort Lee's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Lodi, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.

Fort Lee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-38 loss against Waldwick on the 1st. Lodi has also already played their next matchup (against Pompton Lakes), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
