Recap: Rabun County Wildcats vs. Elbert County Blue Devils
The Rabun County Wildcats's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past Elbert County with points to spare, taking the game 79-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Cooper Welch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Reed Burrell was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 assists.
Rabun County's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Elbert County, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Tallulah Falls the next time they take the court. Rabun County will head out to face Tallulah Falls at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Elbert County will head out to face them at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
