Basketball Recap: Southridge's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

Southridge and Bloomingdale squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Southridge had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bloomingdale Bulls by a score of 43-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Spartans have suffered since January 8th.

Izellah Kendrick continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bloomingdale, going 6-for-13 en route to 15 points. Jatia Markes was another key player, putting up nine points.

The loss snapped Southridge's winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 17-11 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points over those games. As for Bloomingdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.
