Preview: Oak Lawn vs. Tinley Park
Tinley Park will challenge Oak Lawn on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Tinley Park are the favorites in this one -- although they were the favorites in their last game, too, so the odds might count for a little less.
Things haven't been easy for Tinley Park, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to five. Tinley Park didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 30-34 to Oak Forest last Friday. Tinley Park got a solid performance out of senior Ronin Gilbert, who rushed for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win. In fact, with 11 tackles Gilbert was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, Oak Lawn found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 14-38 punch to the gut against Blue Island Eisenhower.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
