Basketball Game Preview: Metro Tech Knights vs. Mingus Marauders

Having just played yesterday, the Metro Tech Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Mingus Marauders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Metro Tech has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 4.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 64-27, which was the final score in Metro Tech's tilt against La Joya Community on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while the Fighting Lobos are ranked 134th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mingus, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against Mohave by a score of 55-45 on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Marauders as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Mingus' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-15. As for Metro Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-24.
