Baseball Recap: Mt. Carmel Takes a Loss

Mt. Carmel fell victim to Southwest EC and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. The loss continues a trend for the Sundevils in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Jack Grassa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

At the plate, Mt. Carmel saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Weber, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Mt. Carmel now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Southwest EC, their record now sits at 13-2.

Looking ahead, Mt. Carmel will be playing at home against Scripps Ranch at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southwest EC, they will head out to challenge Del Norte at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
