Football Recap: Red Oak Starts Season with Win Against Colleyville Heritage

Red Oak took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Colleyville Heritage Panthers by a score of 20-11. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered a 32-29 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Colleyville Heritage still got an impressive performance from Bodey Weaver, who rushed for 93 yards on only ten carries, and also threw for 163 yards and one touchdown. 86 of those passing yards were hauled in by Connor Souphankhaisy, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Coming up, Red Oak will take on Seguin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Colleyville Heritage, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Richland at 7:00 p.m.
