Basketball Recap: Seymour Takes a Loss

If Seymour was feeling good fresh off their 63-29 takedown of Two Rivers last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The match between the Seymour Thunder and the Shawano Community Hawks didn't end well, with the Seymour Thunder falling 53-34. The loss continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now lost eight in a row.

Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Shawano Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Seymour and Shawano Community should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. Seymour (ranked 171st) will meet Green Bay East (ranked 369th) at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Shawano Community will challenge New London at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 268 places (71 vs. 339).
