Basketball Recap: Kootenai Warriors vs. Highland Huskies
Kootenai lost against Highland back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Kootenai Warriors had to suffer through a 65-15 loss at the hands of the Highland Huskies. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Highland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kylee Beck out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Beck has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Hailey Click, who went 5 of 12 en route to 11 points and eight steals.
Kootenai's record is now 2-10. As for Highland, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
Kootenai will challenge Clark Fork at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kootenai is facing Clark Fork at the right time seeing as Clark Fork is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Highland, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Genesee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Genesee knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Highland likes a good challenge.
