Basketball Recap: Villa Rica Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kennesaw Mountain, Villa Rica was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 52-51 photo finish over the Douglas County Tigers. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 57-48 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Villa Rica now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Douglas County, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Villa Rica will take on South Paulding in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Douglas County, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Douglas County Tigers face off against the Chapel Hill Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglas County has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
