Basketball Recap: Claymont Takes a Loss

Claymont lost against New Philadelphia back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Claymont Mustangs had to suffer through a 61-22 loss at the hands of the New Philadelphia Quakers. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Claymont's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for New Philadelphia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

The future could be bright for both Claymont and New Philadelphia: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Claymont will try to hand Indian Creek their sixth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, New Philadelphia will look to extend Ashland's three-game losing streak when the meet at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
