Lafayette and Lindbergh are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Lancers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Flyers at 7:00 p.m. Lafayette knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Lindbergh likes a good challenge.

Lafayette will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Eureka, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Lancers simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Wildcats 35-6. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won six matchups by 29 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lindbergh, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 35-28 victory over Fox on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Flyers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Lindbergh's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Lafayette, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Lafayette strolled past Lindbergh in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 42-28. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Flyers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
