Basketball Game Preview: Thornapple Kellogg Trojans vs. Lakewood Vikings

The Thornapple Kellogg Trojans will face off against the Lakewood Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thornapple Kellogg will be strutting in after a victory while Lakewood will be coming in after a defeat.

Thornapple Kellogg is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest win since January 3rd on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 58-27 victory over Union. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th in Michigan, while the Red Hawks are ranked 423rd in Michigan), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 36-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Waverly.

Thornapple Kellogg's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12. As for Lakewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.
