Baseball Game Preview: Juab Wasps vs. Emery Spartans

Juab has gone a perfect 8-0 against Emery recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Juab will be playing in front of their home fans against Emery at 3:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Juab has three straight wins, Emery has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Saturday, Juab earned a 7-3 victory over Spanish Fork.

Connor Cowan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Austin Park was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Luke Marostica, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Emery fell victim to Payson and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 11-0.

Juab's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Emery, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Juab was able to grind out a solid victory over Emery when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 7-2. Will Juab repeat their success, or does Emery has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
