Volleyball Game Preview: Valor Christian Eagles vs. Columbine Rebels + Official Tickets

Valor Christian is 6-1 against Columbine since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Rebels at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Valor Christian extended their home winning streak to nine games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Harper Scott. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 win over Ralston Valley on Tuesday thanks in part to Scott, who had 26 digs and two assists. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

While Valor Christian might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Ralston Valley scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 14-25, 25-23, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Columbine hadn't done well against Chatfield recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rebels were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chargers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

While Columbine won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-20, 25-22.

Valor Christian's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Columbine, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.

Valor Christian took their victory against Columbine when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
