Soccer Game Preview: Branham vs. Lincoln

Branham and Lincoln are an even 3-3-4 against one another since January of 2020, but likely not for long. The Branham Bruins will welcome the Lincoln Lions at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Branham turned things around against Christopher on Wednesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw. The result was nothing new for the Bruins as the squad haven't won a game since January 10th.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lincoln, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They beat Westmont by a goal, winning 2-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Lions' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Warriors are ranked 72nd).

Lincoln's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6-4. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matchups. Branham's draw makes their record 4-10-2 this season.
