Volleyball Recap: Jyllian Casas' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Churchill over San Antonio Patriots Homeschool

Churchill's tournament run continued when they took on San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool on Friday. The Chargers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jyllian Casas, who had eight digs and two assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenadie Pina, who had six digs and two aces.

Churchill's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.

Coming up, Churchill will challenge Medina Valley at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Valor South Austin on the 29th.
