Recap: Scott Bulldogs vs. Southview Cougars
The Scott Bulldogs's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They snuck past Southview with a 35-31 victory. For Scott, this counts as revenge for the 70-15 defeat Southview walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.
Despite the loss, Southview saw an underclassman step up: Lacie Filas scored 12 points along with six steals. Mikayla Dorn was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Southview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Scott now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Southview, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Scott won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lima Senior at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. Lima Senior will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Southview will take on Bowsher at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
