Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Natalia Jarzebczyk and Caitlin Lengefeld Lead Eaglecrest to Victory

Eaglecrest took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Fruita Monument, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Raptors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Wildcats on Saturday.

Eaglecrest was led to victory by Caitlin Lengefeld and Natalia Jarzebczyk. Lengefeld had 19 assists and four digs, while Jarzebczyk had 21 assists and six digs. With that strong performance, Lengefeld is now averaging an impressive 12.3 assists per game.

Eaglecrest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are 7-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Eaglecrest has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Fruita Monument, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-8.

Eaglecrest will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Chatfield at 12:00 p.m. Fruita Monument does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
