Volleyball Recap: Vista del Lago Comes Up Short

Vista del Lago was the 3-2 winner over Arlington when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Ravens fell 3-1 to the Lions on Thursday. The Ravens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-22, 21-25, 25-13, 25-19.

Arlington found their leader in sophomore Ethan Nguyen, who had five aces and four digs. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Nguyen.

Vista del Lago's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Arlington, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 10-8.

Vista del Lago and Arlington could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Ravens will challenge Rancho Verde at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (714 vs. 230). Meanwhile, Arlington (ranked 401st) will meet Poly (ranked 117th) at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
