Basketball Game Preview: Anclote Sharks vs. Dunedin Falcons

Anclote and Dunedin are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Anclote Sharks will square off against the Dunedin Falcons on Wednesday.

Anclote is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They managed a 42-38 victory over Hudson. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sharks.

Meanwhile, Dunedin hadn't done well against Palm Harbor University recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Dunedin came out on top against Palm Harbor University by a score of 57-47.

Anclote better keep an eye on SHERWIN SIMMONS. He was instrumental in Dunedin's win, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten assists. SIMMONS is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 21 games he's played. DEONTE MACK was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 14 points.

Dunedin was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palm Harbor University only racked up 12 assists.

Anclote's record is now 11-12. As for Dunedin, their record now sits at 16-9.

Anclote lost to Dunedin on the road by a decisive 75-60 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of SIMMONS, who dropped a triple-double on 21 points, 11 boards, and ten assists.
