Basketball Recap: Cascade's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

It was a good run, but Cascade unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to the Maquoketa Cardinals 50-45. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Cascade's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Maquoketa, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Cascade has already played their next game, a 58-16 victory against Alburnett on the 4th. As for Maquoketa, they will take on Bellevue at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
