Football Recap: Belfast Drops Season-High Score on Mattanawcook + How To Watch

Belfast scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 50-40 to the Mattanawcook Lynx. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (34), the Lions still had to take the loss.

Belfast's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mattanawcook, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Belfast will head out on the road to challenge Maine Central Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Huskies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 48.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mattanawcook, they will square off against Winslow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lynx will need to watch out since the Black Raiders have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
