Patrick Henry has gone 7-2 against Point Loma recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Patriots will square off against the Pointers at 5:25 p.m. Patrick Henry's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Point Loma's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, Patrick Henry didn't have quite enough to beat Christian and fell 3-2.

Riley Teixiera made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Brianna DeGuzman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Point Loma hadn't done well against Cathedral Catholic recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Pointers had just enough and edged out the Dons 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Pointers, who have now won three contests in a row.

Ella Poulin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, Leyton MacPherson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

Patrick Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Point Loma, their victory bumped their record up to 19-5-1.

Patrick Henry came out on top in a nail-biter against Point Loma when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
