Recap: Harford Tech Cobras vs. Patterson Mill
The Harford Tech Cobras were the 47-39 winner over Patterson Mill when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Harford Tech was the victim of a rough 51-25 defeat at the hands of Patterson Mill on Monday. Harford Tech has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Harford Tech's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Strang, who scored nine points along with 14 rebounds. Strang is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sophia Mace, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Kiley Wilhelm continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Patterson Mill, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was Wilhelm's fourth in a row with at least ten points. zoe valan was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Harford Tech's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2. As for Patterson Mill, their win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harford Tech will challenge Aberdeen at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Patterson Mill won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Severna Park at 6:45 p.m. on December 12th.
