Basketball Game Preview: Dock Mennonite Pioneers vs. Chester Charter Scholars Academy Sabers

The Dock Mennonite Pioneers will face off against the Chester Charter Scholars Academy Sabers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Dock Mennonite will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Last Monday, everything came up roses for Dock Mennonite against Morrisville as the squad secured a 66-36 win. With the Pioneers ahead 36-16 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Chester Charter Scholars Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 85-75 to Delaware County Christian.

Dock Mennonite will have to contain Jah Sabb as he made an impact in Chester Charter Scholars Academy's last game. He went 10 of 25 on his way to 29 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. With that strong performance, Sabb is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Hutson, who went 8 of 18 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight boards and four steals.

Even though they lost, Chester Charter Scholars Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Dock Mennonite pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Chester Charter Scholars Academy, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 10-3.
