Basketball Recap: Evansville Christian Eagles vs. Northeast Dubois Jeeps
Evansville Christian and Northeast Dubois squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Evansville Christian had to settle for second. They took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northeast Dubois Jeeps. The Eagles have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Evansville Christian lost, don't look at Hannah Higgs. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points and seven steals. Higgs has been hot, having posted six or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Bella Hall, who earned two points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.
Lyllee Schnell was her usual excellent self, going 6-for-8 en route to 19 points and seven boards for Northeast Dubois. That's the most points Schnell has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmersen Kalb, who put up 14 points.
Evansville Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Northeast Dubois, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-6.
Evansville Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northeast Dubois, they have already played their next game, a 50-42 win against Tecumseh on the 8th.
