Volleyball Recap: Pinecrest Academy Cadence Comes Up Short

Pinecrest Academy Cadence lost against Valley back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Vikings. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16, 25-11.

Donovan Gomez paced Pinecrest Academy Cadence's offense, picking up six kills. Gomez got some help from Jack Delap and his six assists.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-7.

Looking ahead, Pinecrest Academy Cadence will take on Desert Oasis at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Valley, they will challenge Somerset Academy Losee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Vikings have won three straight at home, while the Lions won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
