Basketball Recap: Randle Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against Terry last Thursday, Randle came back down to earth. The Randle Lions came up short against the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos on Friday, falling 55-34. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the loss, Randle had strong showings from Yanni Ibikunle, who posted nine points and five rebounds, and Jamarion Jones-Chambers, who scored nine points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Davis, who had nine points and five boards.

Randle's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-12. As for Fort Bend Marshall, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 28-2.

Randle and Fort Bend Marshall should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Randle (ranked 419th) will meet Lamar Consolidated (ranked 900th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Randle is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Similarly, Fort Bend Marshall will challenge Victoria East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 548 places (15 vs. 563).
