Basketball Recap: Berks Catholic Takes a Loss

If Berks Catholic was riding high fresh off their 68-47 takedown of Antietam last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Berks Catholic Saints fell 48-41 to the Reading Red KNights on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Saints came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Red KNights are ranked 110th).

Berks Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Reading, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Looking ahead, Berks Catholic will welcome Bishop McDevitt at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Reading, they and Wilson will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
