It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Salpointe Catholic Lancers had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 59-49. The win was familiar territory for Salpointe Catholic who now have four in a row.

Sidney Anderson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Taliyah Henderson, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Mesquite lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being kahlia Gonzales, who scored 15 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gonzales has scored all season. Navae Guidry was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds.

Salpointe Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season. As for Mesquite, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 26-5.
