Softball Recap: Amarillo Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Amarillo and Aledo squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Amarillo had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bearcats, falling 11-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Sandies were not able to get on the board.

With the loss, Amarillo broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 27-9-1. As for Aledo, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-3 record this season.

Amarillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Aledo, they have already played their next game, an 11-1 win against Birdville on the 15th.
