Basketball Recap: Maxwell Takes a Loss

Maxwell has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 63-51 to the Springer Red Devils on Wednesday. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Devils earlier this season, when they won 68-55.

Maxwell's defeat dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Springer, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-15 record this season.

Maxwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Springer, they and Cimarron will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest, having both just played. Cimarron knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Springer likes a good challenge.
