Basketball Game Preview: Sherman Tide vs. Wirt County Tigers

The Sherman Tide will square off against the Wirt County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Sherman is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest win since December 17, 2024 two weeks ago. They put the hurt on Meadow Bridge with a sharp 50-27 victory. The Tide pushed the score to 39-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Wirt County beat Braxton County 39-31 on Tuesday.

Sherman is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. As for Wirt County, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
