Basketball Game Preview: Moapa Valley Pirates vs. Churchill County Greenwave + How To Watch

Having just played yesterday, the Moapa Valley Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Churchill County Greenwave at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Moapa Valley's last matchup with Carson could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Pirates took a blow against the Senators, falling 82-49. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Churchill County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past Truckee 61-28. With the Greenwave ahead 48-9 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Moapa Valley better keep an eye on Calin Anderson. He was instrumental in Churchill County's win, shooting 73% from the field en route to 16 points and four steals. Those 73% shooting accuracy gave Anderson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Peek, who posted nine points and three steals.

Moapa Valley now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Churchill County, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
