Football Recap: Camden Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Camden dropped to 5-2 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They came up short against the South Pointe Stallions, falling 28-7. Having soared to a lofty 43 points in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for South Pointe, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.0 points on average over those games.

Leading South Pointe to victory were Malik Ratliff and R.J. Brown. Ratliff picked up 160 receiving yards and two scores, while Brown rushed for 91 yards and one TD. Those two receiving touchdowns gave Ratliff a new career-high.

Coincidentally, Camden and South Pointe will both be playing York the next time they take the field. The Stallions will host the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
