Basketball Recap: New Bedford Takes a Loss

New Bedford has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Natick Redhawks. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Whalers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Redhawks are ranked 192nd).

New Bedford's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Natick, their victory bumped their record up to 5-15.

New Bedford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 83-72 win against Taunton on the 19th. Natick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
