Baseball Recap: Glenpool Comes Up Short

After a string of three wins, Glenpool's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Cushing Tigers by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since April 1, 2024.

Denim Sands spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brady Terronez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Glenpool's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Cushing, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

While Glenpool had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
