Basketball Recap: Anthony Huff Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Indianapolis Bishop Chatard

Beech Grove hadn't done well against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Beech Grove Hornets secured a 43-37 W over the Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 59-43 victory the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Beech Grove got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Huff out in front who posted eight points along with six boards and three steals. Bishop Moore was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ari Sahm, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexander Lake, who put up seven points.

Beech Grove's record now sits at 4-9. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Beech Grove will host Monrovia at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they will face off against Guerin Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Guerin Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62 points per game this season.
