Basketball Recap: Paulding County Wins Going Away Against Adairsville

Paulding County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They ended the year with a bang, routing the Adairsville Tigers 82-62. The match marked the Patriots' most dominant win of the season.

Paulding County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jerron Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten assists. Those ten assists gave Wilson a new career-high. Jayden Lawson was another key player, going 7 for 11 on his way to 17 points and three steals.

Paulding County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Adairsville still got an impressive performance from Xavious Nalls, who went 10 of 20 on his way to 24 points and five rebounds. Nalls continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Pearson, who posted nine points.

Paulding County's record now sits at 10-5. As for Adairsville, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
