Passers beware: Elijah Gonzales came down with his first-ever interception on Friday and he's no doubt on the hunt for more. He also made four total tackles, helping propel Pojoaque Valley past Crownpoint by a score of 54-0. We hope Friday's game is the first of many we'll see posted here as the season progresses.

Looking ahead, Gonzales and Pojoaque Valley will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as Pojoaque Valley takes on Hot Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will enter the matchup having just beaten Tularosa, so the Elks/Elkettes will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
