It was another big night for Nathan Axmann, who rushed for 229 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August.

Meanwhile, Bennington faced Elkhorn North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Badgers took their matchup with ease, bagging a 42-7 win over the Wolves. Considering the Badgers have won seven contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Waverly better keep an eye on Ty Bouaphakeo. He was instrumental in Bennington's win, rushing for 116 yards and three TDs, while also throwing for 310 yards and three touchdowns. Bouaphakeo is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Will Gutz was another key player, gaining 127 total yards and a touchdown.

Bennington's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Ty Thomsen, Dalton Pruess, and Charlie Swoboda, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Waverly's record is now 11-0. As for Bennington, their record now sits at 9-2.

Waverly skirted past Bennington 21-19 in their previous matchup back in August. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
