Softball Recap: Bellwood-Antis Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Bellwood-Antis's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Huntingdon Bearcats. This was a revenge game for the Blue Devils: when they faced off against the Bearcats back in March, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Palynn Gregg spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Parker Martin, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of London McKee, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Bellwood-Antis is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Huntingdon, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

As of now, neither Bellwood-Antis nor the Bearcats have any future games scheduled.
